يهدف مشروع مابدا الذي اطلقته منظمة "الشفافية الدولية" والي يتم تنفيذه في كل من مصر وفلسطين والمغرب ولبنان الى:
- بناء قدرات المجتمع المدني في مصر والاستفادة من الخبرات التي تتمتع بها الفروع الوطنية للمنظمة في المغرب ولبنان و فلسطين.
- تطوير منهجية لدراسة نظام النزاهة الوطني في العالم العربي.
- تطوير وتنفيذ استراتيجيات وخطط وطنية لمناصرة المجتمع المدني بهدف تعزيز الاصلاحات المتعلقة بمكافحة الفساد.
- انجاز كل من تحاليل الثغرات المتعلقة بمعاهدة مكافحة الفساد التابعة للامم المتحدة ودراسات نظام النزاهة.
شاركت "الجمعية للبنانية لتعزيز الشفافية – لافساد" منذ منتصف سنة 2008 في تطوير نظام النزاهة الوطني الخاص بلبنان وتم نشره في 5 تشرين الثاني 2009. هو نتيجة العمل الجماعي الذي قام به الباحثون في الجمعية، والابحاث المكثفة ، والمقابلات مع الخبراء والاشخاص المعنيين بمكافحة الفساد، اضافة الى مراجعات من قبل خبراء ومن قبل فروع اخرى للمنظمة في العالم.
يشمل عمل نظام النزاهة الوطني المؤسسات الهامة والقطاعات او النشاطات المحددة (الركائز) التى تساهم في تعزيز النزاهة والشفافية والمساءلة في المجتمع. فيما يخص لبنان، تمت مراجعة اعمال 17 مؤسسة/ركيزة. عندما يعمل نظام النزاهة بإنتظام يساهم في مكافحة الفساد كجزء من صراع اكثر شمولية يشمل سوء استعمال السلطة، سوء الاداء من قبل المسؤولين، وسوء الامانة في جميع اشكالها. ان تقوية نظام النزاهة الوطني يعني تعزيز حكم افضل في جميع نواحي المجتمع.

MABDA, a regional project launched by Transparency International and implemented in Egypt, Palestine, Morocco, and Lebanon, aims at:
- Building the capacity of the Egyptian civil society, benefitting from the expertise of the National Chapters established in Morocco, Lebanon and Palestine;
- Developing NIS study methodology for the Arab World.
- Developing and implementing national civil society-advocacy strategies and plans- to promote anti corruption reforms.
- Completing of Gap analyses around the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) and NIS Studies successfully, across the four countries: Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon and Palestine.
Since mid-2008, LTA participated in the development of the National Integrity System (NIS) study for Lebanon, that was published on November 5, 2009. The Lebanese NIS is the result of collective work by LTA’s researchers, extensive desk research, interviews with anti-corruption stakeholders and experts, and peer review by experts and other chapters of TI. The NIS looks at key institutions, sectors or specific activities (the ‘pillars’) that contribute to integrity, transparency and accountability in a society. In the case of Lebanon, 17 institutions/pillars were reviewed. When it functions properly, the NIS combats corruption as part of the larger struggle against abuse of power, malfeasance and misappropriation in all its forms. Strengthening the NIS is about promoting better governance across all aspects of society.
